For most people in Nassau County, you must apply for a card at the library in the district or village where you live or own property. Once you have a card from your library, it can be used for most services at any NLS member library, as well as online.
Each library has its own policies for issuing a library card. Contact your local public library for what information and identification is required when applying for a library card.
